If your ceiling fan light globe is broken recently, then you will definitely need a replacement for light globe. Sometimes light globes can break or smash due to these reasons:

• Kids were playing with the ball in the surroundings and it impacted the ceiling fan.
• Someone smashed a door closed after getting angry, which caused the ceiling fan or globe to fall down from the ceiling.
• Someone really tall hit directly the fan.
• You were trying to replace the bulb and the globe dropped.

Firstly, you need to make sure that all the power to the fan is turned off. You may have to wait for a few minutes after turning off the power to touch the bulbs. The bulbs may be hot when you turn them off so, it will take a few minutes to cool down. So, ensure that the bulb is still hot. You may need to use a tissue or a cloth to remove it. Try to avoid touching the halogen globe as oils from your hands and dirt may apply to the globe.

Another point to consider is that do not use more wattage in the plug than it allows.
